No. They scan with the phone already in their pocket — no scan guns, no beacons, no tablets to buy or charge. The app reads QR and DataMatrix labels, and there’s a manual fallback if a sticker is damaged. The only thing you print is the labels.
Yes — that was the whole point. Yards and warehouses are dead zones. A scan captures GPS, time, actor, and photo and saves to an outbox right on the phone (“Saved on this phone”), then auto-sends the moment signal comes back. Drivers never wait on a spinner and you never lose a move in a dead zone.

Deliverable units — PSUs and containers — leave the yard and go to a customer’s site, so they live on the GPS map and can be booked online. Vaults are warehouse storage and never get delivered, so they live in the 2D/3D warehouse viewer instead.
